Q&A: Can I get ANY service if I get an “unlocked” iphone?
Question by shelly: Can I get ANY service if I get an “unlocked” iphone?
I’ve been wanting the iphone FOREVERRRR, but I have verizon. I’ve been told that I can get an “unlocked iphone” and use it for any service. Now, I’m not just talking about the apps, video, music, etc., I’m talking about using all of that, including using it as a phone. If it’s possible, is the service as reliable as using any phone on verizon (or tmobile, etc) THANK YOU!

No unlocked phones are just for carriers that use GSM networks (ATT and TMobile). Sprint and Verizon use CDMA networks. Sorry :/ but wait till June when Apple releases the next iPhone, because it might be a Verizon version.

No. You can use an unlocked iPhone with T-Mobile and a few regional GSM carriers. You cannot use it with Verizon, Sprint, Metro, Virgin, Boost, Tracfone, etc.
