Unlocking the iPhone with one handed left hand operation is difficult or impossible, as Apple decided to violate Telecommunications act section 255. There are workaround but this is not as easy as it seems. The hook needs the right shape. It has to be rubber covered for grip and to avoid scratching the iPhone. The strength of the hook has to be very good. Still, the phone slips out in about two out of seven attempts to hold it. I found that a Dorrance mod. 555 works well, even though the rounded shape of the telephone is a considerable disadvantage.
